Thank you for letting me join. I garden, have 3 gardens going right now for fall. I am a prepper but my husband isn't. It is a struggle convincing him sometimes. I live in town, right in town so I can't have any farm animals, not even rabbits so I am sad about that. Cats and Dogs and 1 fish is what I do have in the way of animals. I love to read, crochet, trying to teach myself knitting. I have taken up canning, dehydrating, stock piling what I think I would need if I couldn't get out to the store. I have been researching how to make things that we buy at the store so we don't have to rely so much on stores. Would love to learn to spin and weave and teach my husband to sew because I am not that proficient in the sewing department I am excited to see what everyone here has going. Thank you,

Hi Planting4food! Welcome!
I garden too, and can't raise farm animals for a similar reason as yours, but I have done so in the past.
My granddaughter learned to spin rabbit fur, and from what I could see, it wasn't difficult at all! Maybe there is a video at youtube ...yep, good ole youtube! I have a house to clean today, but I will try to find a video for you.

howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quiet a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any reply's you have on a topic.and start new topics if/when needed...
planting4food..you might try the weather conditions of where yall live, when it comes to your husband. mainly winters.and how pipes can freeze up.no going down the road due to show and/or ice.no power from ice on power lines.etc etc..
