on april 20th of this year,i canned 4 1/2 jars of chicken broth,it's still good. may 17th of this year.8 pints of beans n ham..only 2 pints left. i love my cooking.. yesterday.i cooked n canned 7 quarts of beans n ham.gonna save them.. today i'll be using the chicken broth i canned in april,to cook n can some chicken.and that'll give me even more broth.. here's a pic of what i canned the other day..

i just picked 8LB's 8.4ounces of black eye peas.so i'll be doing some more canning now..

Wow that's a lot of good canning and excellent to add to your preps. What is your total goal for canning? Is there a specific amount you want to save up and put back?

i plan on canning what ever amount i can,not only from my garden.but from store bought items as well..

other then 2 cucumbers,i haven't picked any thing of yet,this year.but today.a neighbor gave me a shopping bag full of purple hull peas.in which im shelling today.i just hope,that i get at least 2 pints from it.in which i'll can them if i do..

well,i've canned 3 quarts of chicken,,in chicken broth.and i would have 5 pints of broth.but one lid came off during the canning process.so i only got 4 pints..

i canned 6 more pints of chili with no beans.we would have 12 now.but i ate one of the first ones..
