Hello! I am "nightflighter", I have been around TB2K, SB and TTOL. They seem to get a little "rutted" like an old country road, with nothing new to learn. I may just be in the "background" lurking and studying, but I'm not a "creeper". I like to always try to learn new things. Good to be here. Yes, that's how I like to cook, too!

Welcome Nightflighter! It's good to see you here, if you want to be in the background, that's great, BUT that grill cooking up there is making my mouth water! Would you share some of your recipes? Got a favorite dry rub? A sauce, a technique?
I make a great potato salad, so maybe we can have some good food ready for the guests when they arrive!! Yah??

Ohhhh......I like to make a pan-fried "steak", but with beef roast! Soak with worstershire, salt and pepper...Fry in a hot cast-iron frying pan with olive oil, browning all sides. Then, cover with aluminum foil, and into a 350 degree oven for about an hour. Let stand for a bit after it's taken out, drippings mixed with water and corn starch for gravy. Served with mashed potatoes or rice. YU<. Learned to cook from my mom. <3

Oh, I have a secret for pie crust. It took forever to get it out of my mom; she seldom made pies, but a friend of the family did. The secret is....A little bit of vinigar in the dough. Makes it flakey. Oh, and thank you for having me. The board was down for a bit, and I thought,"Oh, no!"
