What are some items you have or want for off grid living? Tools, appliances, farm equipment, bob items etc.
Today I was looking into foldable bolt cutters. Although on the heavy side of about 2-3 lbs there are those that feel it is a vital item in the bobs. Considering the weight some just have in bov.
here is a random photo of someones bob supplies. Notice the non fold short length of there cutters. Would like to find those.
Our family has worked on the non electric kitchen appliances the last few years. Usually I find those at yard sales to keep cost down. The last item i found was a metal noodle maker/new great deal for a buck. Many things are plastic and not fond of due to wont last long. So i do focus on the steel etc. Picked up a new steel grain mill a few years ago on ebay. Found a new sun oven at a yard sale for 75 bucks. Our last find was a cast iron stove from tractor supply. I was fortunate in that a family member worked there and i got an employee deep discount and was on sale. So put it on layaway and is home now in storage. Tractor supply has a good layaway to utilize.
our sun oven although new was missing the dehydrating racks and hope to eventually get some. But was a good deal considering.
