Some of you may know me and I have dropped the IN Ca since I now am a snowbird flying between Northern WI and the Mohave Desert.
Very honored to have been invited by Harvest and I will do my best to help out and populate some of the threads.

Thank goodness I figured out how to change that default avatar. I haven't been a sheep since  . I don't think I have ever been a sheepie, lol. I grew up a homesteader in the 70's/ early 80's, became a survivalist/bushcrafter in the late 80's/early 90's and a Prepper in the late 90's. |

I grew up a homesteader in the 70's/ early 80's, became a survivalist/bushcrafter in the late 80's/early 90's and a Prepper in the late 90's.  Yes; I remember you from another forum. AWESOME. Swen is here. So glad you made it my friend. Yes the sheeple avatar is not for you that is for sure. Leap couldnt resist. It is funny tho gotta admit. Dang you are going from one extreme to the other climate wise. I dont miss that heat tho[lived in the desert most my life]. But do miss the year round sunny skies.

For those of you who don't know me yet I am a very understanding and polite guy. However, with that said I do have a Pet Peeve that may come off too harsh when I raise the B.S. Flag, as some of the older vets to the prepper community can attest to.
That is when I see any link to Beforeitsnews or the European Times. I myself have been accused of wearing my tinfoil hat but find links to these 2 sites as detrimental to the Alternative News crowd. Sites like the Onion are obviously written as fiction. However, beforeitsnews and European Times are sites that were specifically set up to downplay and paint Alternative News followers in a bad light.
Bottomline is that Scorch Faal is heavy into both of these sites. There has been great controversy since 2007 that Scorcha Faal is a CIA disinformation agent. Yes, this in itself sounds very tinfoil hat-like. However, as a person who has researched this subject intensively for 5 years, it is obvious that whoever he/she is, it is pure garbage to make our communities look bad, so that when there is actually a true story coming from these communities it will be disregarded due to the hysteria spread in the past.
On both these sites, if you go deep enough you will find a disclaimer that these articles are sensationalized and meant for entertainment purposes.
The problem with these sites is that they take a subject or fear of ours and expands it into our worse nightmare. We almost want to believe that it is true and yes I too have fallen victim to one story. I literally checked my property/security system and was starting to go through my weapons locker before I calmed down and realized that it was silly. So although it sounds credible, it is designed to discredit you.
Anyways, just a heads up. When I see a link to Beforeitsnews or European Times I will raise the B.S. flag and remind you that Scorcha Faal is a known sensationalizing disinformation agent.

I thought European Times was a European tabloid type site. Years ago;I noticed false info from them.
I don't trust info from Beforeitsnews either.
Usually if I post something; I check it with more than one site that I trust.
If it seems like an outlandish story; I like to check Snopes.com; though I feel they have a liberal slant too though.

European Times has even more controversy around it, not just Scorcha Faal. A few years back when doing research I came across an Article put out by the Southern Poverty Law Center (Even if I don't like them, it's still valid) linking The European Times to a registered owner in Norfolk, VA whose known skinhead husband was under investigation for a suspected hate crime with possible connections to a murder investigation.
It just goes to show that there are news sources that purposely try to stir the pot. Which then gets spread as a valid news source by gullible people. I just did the above disclaimer to warn people that I will expose these links for what they are and for people not to take it personal.

The last big story from European Times that I remember (before I knew they weren't legit) was when the BP oil rig blew up. They said the Russians hit it w/a torpedo from a submarine. I could not find anyone saying that but them.

Thanks for the heads up swen with the european times source. Yes bin has some extreme things also but they have the legit at times. You just gotta really check into it. Good thing we have controversial section for some of the possible tinfoil reports. Seems to bad that a legit or good article can be put in those sites and then twisted up.
